The Treasure Island Music Festival is two-day celebration features an impressive line up of internationally renowned artists, produced by Noise Pop in partnership with Another Planet Entertainment, an independent promoter based in Berkeley, CA, the Treasure Island Music Festival not only boasts an amazing line-up but will take place in a very unique setting - smack dab in the middle of the San Francisco Bay. It is the first music-based event of this scale and scope to be held on the man-made island that was originally built to house the 1939 World’s Fair. After an immensely successful inaugural year, Noise Pop and Another Planet are excited to announce that Treasure Island Music Festival will be taking place on September 20th to 21st 2008. Picking up where last year left off, the two-day celebration promises to feature a stellar and diverse lineup of music in the most breathtaking setting: smack-dab in the middle of the San Francisco Bay on the historic Treasure Island.

Organized by the creators of the Noise Pop Festival, one of the nation’s longest-running music festivals, and Another Planet Entertainment, nationally established independent concert promoter based in Berkeley, CA, the Treasure Island Music Festival has been called a “full blown love affair” by SPIN.COM, and has SF WEEKLY boasting that “NorCal has its own Micro-achella.”
The two-day festival will also include plenty of interactive activities, a vending village featuring local artists and designers, as well as a diverse array of food and beverages. In the same manner that the Bay Area has long been a leader in environmental initiatives, the festival will not only implement green standards but will entertain and educate concert goers with a few simple ways they can bring conservation efforts to their day-to-day lives.
